ONLINE: Cultivating Love and Compassion with Lama Bruce Newman
With Lama Bruce Newman
April 23 - 25, 2027
The cultivation of love plays a pivotal role in both Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. It is the foundation of compassion, bodhicitta, and devotion, which in turn lead us directly to the awakened mind. Over this weekend program we will explore love’s power to heal and transform.
Our teachings will be based on Tulku Thondup’s The Heart of Unconditional Love. Drawing on the peace and joy generated by devotion, the text guides us through embodying love, experiencing the whole universe as love, and ultimately realizing loving kindness free from concept.
Lama Bruce and many of his students have found the meditations from Tulku Thondup’s books wonderfully transformative. Please join us for a weekend of guided meditations and discussion on the cultivation of love!
This retreat welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and levels of experience—no prior knowledge of Tibetan Buddhism is necessary.
Reviewing the book in advance is encouraged, and it can be purchased online here: The Heart of Unconditional Love by Tulku Thondup. While purchasing the text is recommended, it is not required.
