The Four Truths of the Noble Ones are foundational teachings, articulated by Siddhartha Gautama, the historical Buddha, as the framework for understanding the nature of existence and the path to liberation from suffering. Join us, as we dive deep into these teachings under the guidance of Tsangsar Rinpoche, an authentic Buddhist teacher.

Program Highlights:

  1. Extensive Teachings on the Four Noble Truths: Dive deep into the foundational teachings of Buddhism with Tsangsar Tulku Rinpoche as he elucidates the profound wisdom of the Four Truths of the Noble Ones, offering insights and practices to integrate into your daily life.
  2. Morning and Evening Community Practice: Engage in communal practice sessions, enhance your meditation and deepen your connection with  fellow dharma practitioners under the guidance of Tsangsar Rinpoche.
  3. Delicious Vegetarian Meals: Enjoy three delectable vegetarian meals per day, prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients to nourish both body and soul.
  4. Nature Immersion: Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Gomde California during the summer season. Enjoy leisurely swims in the river, explore scenic hiking trails, and bask in the tranquility of our secluded forest retreat environment.
  5. Integration Day: Sunday will be dedicated to practice, allowing you to reflect on and integrate the teachings and practices shared throughout the retreat. Engage in guided meditations, contemplative walks, and group discussions to deepen your understanding and embody the teachings.

Program Details:

  • Duration: Four nights, from Wednesday (June 12) to Sunday (June 16).
  • Location: Gomde California, nestled in the picturesque coastal mountains of Mendocino County.
  • Accommodation: Lodging options are available on-site via the registration page, or opt to stay off-site in a local hotel or airbnb.
  • Facilities: Access to the Buddha Halls, communal spaces, showerhouse, and outdoor recreational areas.
  • Prerequisites: All levels of experience are welcome, from beginners to seasoned practitioners.

*All participants will be expected to engage in some service-practice. If you are unable to offer physical service for a particular reason, please write to us at coordinator@gomdeca.org.
